With rising costs, the use of value-added fertilisers is increasing due to better assimilation.

Faced with the rising cost of fertiliser in the agricultural sector, the use of high concentration and slow release fertiliser products has increased. This is pointed out by Vicente Puchol, manager and technical director of EDYPRO, who explains that this growing trend is motivated by the fact that “it has been scientifically proven that crops can be grown with less fertiliser use, generating investment savings and a more sustainable crop“.

The two product groups most in demand due to this situation are:

  • Soil and/or water regenerators and conditioners optimise soil fertility and achieve a more efficient use of fertilisers. They also improve the behaviour of water in the soil, allowing a more rational use of water and important benefits for the crop by avoiding root asphyxia problems.
  • Fertilisers with high concentration and excellent assimilation at low application rates. These products satisfy the needs of the crop in certain macro and micro nutrients with small contributions in L/ha.
