Hormone-free fruit thinning and fattening in citrus cultivation

PROBLEM

Citrus varieties with a tendency to over-produce (such as Pri-23, Esbal, Tango, Nadorcott) require fruit thinning to remove fruit from the tree that will not reach a good size and at the same time create competition for other fruit. Manual thinning is very costly and is carried out at the moment, when the final size of the fruit is already defined at the level of cellular programming.

SOLUTION

In response to this need, EDYPRO has developed a Hormone-Free Thinning and Fattening Treatment that also activates fruit thickening. It is based on a natural thinning that eliminates the fruits of the 2nd and 3rd flowering and leaves the fruits of the 1st flowering on the tree.
