EDYPRO took part in the CONECTA LABORA forum in Horta Nord that was held on 6 May. Specifically, the company’s Marketing Director, Arina Vovk, was present at the virtual round table that was organised in parallel to the forum that was held in person in Massamagrell. The aim of this meeting is to raise awareness of the needs of Valencian companies in terms of employment, especially in terms of the profiles that are in demand.
Arina Vovk explained what biotechnology is and how EDYPRO applies it to activate the genes of crops, activating the productive functions that are of most interest, and to guarantee the sustainability of farmland. She also pointed out the importance of the R&D&I department for the company and the work that chemists and biotechnologists carry out to develop high quality products that are effective in the field, without residues and that generate the best results in terms of taste and appearance of the fruit.
Regarding the human resources needs of EDYPRO, Vovk emphasised that they are looking for a technical profile with commercial skills, as they work with an innovative product and concepts of agricultural economics. He also remarked that they have to be people with a great capacity for adaptation, as the circumstances surrounding the field change very quickly and the person who works with these variables has to be able to integrate them quickly and react assertively.
Profile of a good candidate
EDYPRO’s Marketing Director explained that honesty is one of the values that govern the firm’s relationships with its clients. “Our aim is to transmit our value to our clients and to do so with people who are capable of communicating it to our target audience,” she said.
In this sense, he also highlighted the importance of people being decisive and productive. “We must be micro-entrepreneurs, being responsible for our own time and knowing how to manage it.
