How to plant in the best possible way to reduce stress on the plant?

One of the situations that most stresses a plant are changes, changes in temperature, humidity and of course one of the most stressful situations is transplantation.

Transplantation involves a sudden and abrupt alteration of the entire context of the plant and, therefore, the impact on its health is of vital importance for its subsequent growth.

Since we cannot avoid this change, we can reduce the stress so that the new plant that comes from the seedling notices this change as little as possible.

Therefore, from EDYPRO we propose the following procedure;

Ideally, the plants come the day before from the seedling and stay in the greenhouse acclimatizing to be transplanted the next day. And something very important is to first “whiten” the greenhouse well before transplanting.

1.- When the plant comes from the seedling we recommend doing a foliar treatment to the tray with REVOLUTION, a formulation that covers the vegetative mass and protects the plant from attacks by White Fly and Trip producing prophylactic effect and ALGATRON, Ascophyllum nodosum algae cream with great anti-stress effect that prepares the plant for transplantation.

2.- Prepare the drip bulb with EDYPRO HUMECTANTE at 20 L./ha. applied in the transplant irrigation, distributed throughout the irrigation time (the water must be pure and without fertilizers). This EDYPRO solution is designed to break the surface tension of water and allows a quick and easy way to moisten the cultivation soil, achieving a very wide horizontal opening of the bulb and a better use of water. In addition, we will be able to create a much better environment for the plant´s rooting.

3.- Activate the development of the root system with the application of COUPÉ REGENERACIÓN PLUS from 60 to 80 L./ha. + ENRAIZANTE ESPECIAL 10 L,/ha, applied together in the second irrigation of the crop. With this action we increase the cationic exchange of the soil to make the soil nutrients available to the plant and accelerate the rooting of the plant, providing a great development of secondary roots and absorbent hairs.
