Detoxification of cucumber under shelter in Murcia

PROBLEM

This greenhouse cucumber crop in the Murcia area had problems with fruit set, so the farmer applied non-EDYPRO products, which contain excessive boron to achieve this objective, and he was also irrigating these crops with water that comes from desalination.

The result of these two actions was the intoxication of the crop, which was evident in the fact that the crop had damaged leaves, which were crumpled and burnt, practically lifeless.

SOLUTION

Our advisors in this area recommended the application of COUPÉ REGENERACIÓN PLUS to give the plant a longer life and to achieve the assimilation of nutrients from the soil, counteracting the intoxication that the crop has suffered.

In the first application of COUPÉ REGENERACIÓN PLUS, 60 litres/ha were applied. And the results have already been very evident.

RESULT

In these photographs you can see how from the middle of the plant the leaves are greener, have a brighter colour and a greater number of flowers.

However, EDYPRO technicians have also recommended a second application of COUPÉ REGENERACIÓN PLUS of 40 L./ha. to achieve better crop performance, recovering its productive potential to the maximum.
