Today we are talking about MELASTOP, a biotechnological solution developed by EDYPRO that works by lowering the surface tension of the water used in the preparation of phytosanitary sprays. MELASTOP achieves a good distribution of the liquid film applied in phytosanitary treatments and a better penetrability of the active principles used. The water used for phytosanitary treatments has two essential functions. On the one hand, it is the vector that allows the active ingredients of the products to be spread on the crop. On the other hand it is the activator of the formulations. That is, without it the formulations could not be dissolved or activated to be applied on the crop.
In addition, the water has certain characteristics and marked by two specific factors;

-The hardness that determines the level of carbonates or sulfates in the water.

–Regulates the pH of the water, leaving it at an adequate level where most of the substances used have a stable behavior and also lengthens their useful life, allowing them to increase their effectiveness. In this way, it allows to use minimum doses and increase efficiency.
Alkaline hydrolysis is the factor that determines the useful life of active materials. With the application of MELASTOP we control the alkaline hydrolysis, lengthening the life of the materials to the maximum.
–Breaks the surface tension of the water generating very small drops with great ease to be spread on the crop, smearing its parts and thus preventing the treatment from falling to the ground. You can observe this effect in the following video.
Therefore it is a product that preserves the environment, because with less liquid more surface is treated and soil contamination is avoided.
–Generates an excellent spray effect with which the treatment equipment greatly improves its effectiveness. At the same time, it generates a magnificent non-stick effect inside the treatment equipment, facilitating the useful life of the pump, pressure circuits or nozzles.
–It is a magnificent penetrant since it drags substances through the epidermis of the plant towards its interior. And in this sense it is an optimal enhancer of effectiveness.
Along with these characteristics, MELASTOP achieves Zero Residue since once the useful life of the molecule is over, the subsequent degradation of the active materials in the crop is enhanced by creating a precipitous downward degradation curve and thus reducing the Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs).
