In the production of truss tomatoes, the correct configuration of the cluster and the uniformity of the fruits (both size, symmetrical distance between fruits, the progressive formation of aggregates, as the degree of balanced maturation and the number of fruits per bunch) are the most important factors that values the market and consumers.

 

In EDYPRO biotechnology we have achieved with continued applications of PROCUAJE RADICULAR on a plot of Cherry Tomatoes variety Juanita, the following objectives:

 

  • Getting an avarage number of 18 to 20 fruits per truss to cut those that are imperct and leave above 15 fruits.
  • Standardize fruit formation, shortening the time between the setting of 1st and final fruit of the cluster, allowing to uniform the maturation and get to market with fruits under similar conditions.
  • Minimize the number of fruits "failed" due to lack of pollen are left without setting  or a fruit without gaining weight. Also, when a truss misses a fruit this cluster must be collected conventional tomatoes.
  • Increase the number of bifurcated trusses, an action that directly increases the output per m2 standardizing the number of fruits per bifurcated truss.

 

The following images can observe the difference between control area AND treated area with PROCUAJE RADICULAR 15 L./ha., every 15 days from early February 2016, regarding the bifurcation of the branches, uniformity in training fruit ripening and the number of fruits per bunch.
